Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 10 May 2026
These terms and conditions govern the use of this website and any services provided by UK After Death Cleaners ("we", "us", "our"). By using our website or engaging our services, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.
1. About Us
UK After Death Cleaners provides professional after death cleaning, trauma cleaning, crime scene cleaning, and biohazard decontamination services across the United Kingdom. We are registered in England and Wales.
Contact us at: help@ukafterdeathcleaners.uk | 0333 567 2514
2. Our Services
We provide specialist after death cleaning, trauma cleaning, crime scene cleaning, biohazard decontamination, odour removal, and property restoration services as described on this website. A binding contract is formed only when we have confirmed your booking in writing (by email or letter). Until that point, any quote or estimate is non-binding.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel a booking where we reasonably believe the requested service cannot be safely or lawfully carried out.
3. Quotations and Pricing
All prices quoted are estimates based on the information provided at the time of enquiry. The nature of after death cleaning and biohazard remediation means that the full extent of contamination is not always visible until work begins. Final pricing may vary if the scope or condition of work differs materially from what was described. We will notify you of any significant price change before continuing work.
Unless otherwise stated, VAT (where applicable) will be shown separately on your invoice.
4. Your Right to Cancel (Consumer Contracts)
If you are a consumer (not a business) and you book our services remotely (by phone, email, or through this website), you have the right to cancel within 14 days of booking without giving a reason, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
If you request that we begin work within the 14-day cancellation period and you later cancel, you may be liable to pay for work already completed.
To cancel, please contact us at help@ukafterdeathcleaners.uk. We will acknowledge your cancellation promptly.
5. Cancellation by You (After the 14-Day Period)
Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice before a confirmed appointment may incur a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the agreed price to cover preparation costs and lost bookings. We will always try to reschedule before applying any charge.
6. Our Right to Cancel
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a booking where circumstances beyond our control prevent us from delivering the service safely. In such cases we will offer a full refund or an alternative appointment date.
7. Payment Terms
Payment is due as agreed at the time of booking. For most services, payment is due on completion unless otherwise agreed. We accept bank transfer and card payment. Overdue invoices may attract statutory interest under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
8. Our Liability
We will carry out all services with reasonable care and skill in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015. If a service is not carried out to the required standard, we will re-do the relevant part of the work at no additional charge, or provide a partial refund if a re-do is not possible.
Our liability to you shall not exceed the total amount you have paid us for the specific service in question. We are not liable for:
- Pre-existing damage or contamination not disclosed at the time of booking
- Loss of earnings, consequential losses, or indirect losses
- Damage resulting from access being denied or incomplete information provided
- Structural damage or defects that pre-existed our attendance
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
9. Your Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information about the property and the situation requiring our services
- Ensure safe access to the property at the agreed time
- Disclose any known hazards (asbestos, structural risks, additional contamination, etc.) before work begins
- Obtain any necessary permissions or consents before engaging our services
- Inform us if emergency services or a coroner have placed any restrictions on access to the property
10. Insurance Documentation
Where required, we will provide documentation of all work carried out to support an insurance claim. It remains your responsibility to contact your insurer and establish whether your policy covers the costs of biohazard cleaning or trauma cleaning.
11. Complaints
If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, please contact us in the first instance at help@ukafterdeathcleaners.uk. We aim to resolve all complaints within 5 working days. If we are unable to resolve your complaint, you may have access to alternative dispute resolution schemes — we will advise you of applicable options at that stage.
12. Website Use
